These 'other' sites would then lose all their exposure and eventually shut down, resulting in what could be seen as the end of the Internet.

I do not think that this should be done. It will hurt people who usr the internet for school. I also believe that this is just another way for the goverment to work with big business to make sure they know where you go and what you do on web. They are having trouble controling this and this is how they will get control

I've actually heard about all this... Seems like internet is going to be billed a lot more strictly in the future, because ISPs are having to deal with people using high bandwith because of unlimited access and zero restrictions. I think it's bullshit. It's already expensive enough to get internet that moves fast enough to do anything worthwhile, and even for the people that barely use it, other than keeping in touch with family members abroad or some such thing... And yeah, it sounds like a way for the government to keep higher tabs on the sites we visit, and the sites we create.

I am not the man to disprove Einstein, thats not what im saying with that last comment. I Am saying he Tried to disprove it, but it still fits within the workable theory of relativity....Now for more simple terms for younger people with questions or people who dont understand so far....If we do evolve within the terms of this theory, our brain will expand and open to new abilities. The internet is not as hard as you think to regulate. As you can see there is only a few internet providers in each country, and they pretty much do as they wish with you. When you don't pay your internet bill what they do? they shut you down. If you live in the US, you should notice how sometimes when you don't pay your bill, you can go online, but it will always take you to the comcast payment page. well the same thing can be done for you, they would just let the sites belonging to the package you chose get through your connection.

regulation and billing are already in place in most countries, and can be done very easily, but we only see the extreme version of it in the likes of China, where the internet IS regulated and paid via subscription..Try a random search one day and im sure anyone going onto facebook or any other social networking site on the same pc will be amazed at the lil ads that are displayed on your profile page mimics some of the sites accessed on your pc which have nothing to do with FB..the same happens with gmail! I dont know about predictions or the end of the world or govt conspiracies, but the regulation, monitoring and control of the Internet is already being done just not in an extreme manner as the way we pay for it has been gently and gradually eased into our utility of it already. Given the state of the global economy and by that I mean the US dollar, i'd say if one had to give an opinion on 2012, would be that it may be possible that there will be a market crash in 2012, which does look ever likely, and could signify the end of our way of life, not the end of life as we know it. At that stage i'd say any govt including an american one will possibly pass bills to enusre some debt recovery through further billing of the internet through some package deals or what have you, like we pay for cable. Either way, id say there's something coming alright but it may not be in the singular views held by most that it will be death and destruction by cosmic forces...rather it may be done by the very people we elected...
