First of all, no one knows for sure what is going to happen in 2012. There are so many theories bouncing around that it's impossible to know. Just know that something will happen. Something big. This world AS WE KNOW IT will end. That doesn't mean total destruction or even the extinction of the human race.

The reason we know it's going to happen is because it's happened before. History tells us this though it's not something anyone bothers to put in school books. It's a repeating cycle and the ancients that came before left clues to let future people know what's coming. The information, though hard to find at times, is there. All you have to do is look for it. Weed through fluff and the facts will become readily apparent. Do the research and draw your own conclusions. If you're taking the time to read this post then you've got the time to look further into it.

It's hard to be one of the believers. We get laughed at a lot. It's okay though because someone is going to read what we've got to say and take it seriously. They will prepare and they will have a better chance to survive and take those first steps into the new world.

Do yourselves a favor and open your eyes.

Nothing is going to happen in 2012. Just live your lives and enjoy what you have. Spend time with your family and friends. At school my daughters friend told me how it all ends in 2012. I checked it all out. People make up all kinds of stories.Its soooo silly!!

If you really checked it all out you'd realize people aren't making anything up.

I said before that no one knows what is going to happen for sure. We know something is coming because of clues left by the ancient people of this world. Global disasters have happened before and they tried to leave enough information so we could see them coming in the future. So we could prepare for them.

Look at the state of the world today. Take off your blinders and see what's going on. The weather is playing havoc with us. It's screwing up global food production which drives the cost of everthing even higher. Stock on non perishables now before it's too late. While you can still afford it.

This recession is only going to get worse. The weather is only going to get worse.

Finally, I am not a doomsayer. I truly do hope nothing happens but incase I'm right I'm damn sure going to prepare. I don't want to watch my family die of starvation, disease or violence from someone who didn't prepare trying to take what's ours. I believe that this is the natural cycle of things. The the earth healing itself and all we can do is hang on to our butts and try to survive.

I agree with Refu about going green but for a different reason. Learning to live naturally will be very important. It's going to be the only way to survive after things get really bad.

Small communities of families working together will be an absolute must. Individual families will have a hell of a time if they try to go it alone.

Well, I'm going to the top of a big hill (when I get there) with a great view looking over the city, bring a battery powered radio, tune it into a major AM news station and listen...

Then, after i've had a nice picnic on that hill, watched nothing happen, and heard all the stupid and moronic sheep/puppets lead by books, carvings, scrolls, tapes, dvd's, etc created and written by men for men that are or did really stupid and idiotic crap all day.
I will then go home and take a big dump. Then, grab a bag of chips, settle down on my couch, turn on the TV and watch the some football.

Please understand that most of us who believe something is going to happen in 2012 don't come by our beliefs because of what we've read. That's the real bullshit.

I didn't start research this subject until I started feeling that something horrible was in the works. I didn't even start looking it all up right then and there... because I had no idea why I was feeling the dread I was. I didn't understand until I first stumbled across 2012 in the internet.

It was then that I started really reading and like I said before... if you look you can easily tell the bunk from the not so bunk. Once again not one person on this planet knows what is coming, not one. Some people put their faith in different theories and that becomes their life preserver.

I choose to prepare for the worst, hope for the best and be ready for anything.

If nothing happens more's the better. No harm done for my having prepared.

Ask yourself who is realy the "moronic sheep/puppets", the vast majority of people aren't prepared for anything let alone even know what 2012 is other than some disaster flick that just came out. Most of these people are like you. Once they think they know a little something about it, they insult and belittle people who believe and bother to speak about it.

It's a surprisingly small number of believers who choose NOT to follow the herd and prepare for something that may or may not even happen.

I can tell you this though... if nothing happens and life just goes on.... I'ma have one hell of a camping trip/party the next weekend.

Open your heart, see with your eyes and above all... THINK with your own brain. Don't believe anything you've been told by popular media. Find out for yourself.

ok, so... just a few thoughts... first of all, not to push my faith on anyone... but the bible says not even God knows when the world will end...but there will be signs... and I'm sure at least some of us will be able to recognize them... and, haven't you heard of all of the previous prophecies? I'm sure everyone's heard of Y2K... but Nostradamous predicted the end in 2006... and countless others through the last thousand years...

Ok, yes I am reading these things I know... even though I have so many good points, I admit I still have doubts, I still worry, but in today's world, there's a lot to worry about...

So, one thing I've found in a lot of my research is that the "doomsday" ppl... well a lot of them have something to sell... and none of them agree... Also, I've done a lot of research, and nothing at all has been said about what happens at the end of the mayan calendar... just that it ends... well, our 12 month calendar ends right? And we don't all assume the world is ending on jan 31st... every year... do we...? We just stick a new calendar on the wall and start all over again... right?

Another good point... I've watched that show on discovery (apocalypse island) and the guy on it is obsessed w/ finding the answer... one point he was trying to make on his side is that in every section (it's divided into sections of so many years, sorry numbers aren't my thing) of the calendar something major happened, and that's why he thinks something major will happen in 2012.... but every example he gave related only to the mayans... not worldwide... and really who can predict the end of an entire civilization down to one day...?

And hey, something good, or bad may happen... but it's the future and there are no certainties... nothing may happen... but if it were to lean towards the bad, I'd say it was a man made event... we're all bound to destroy ourselves sometime... and to be honest, that's a lot scarier than any other theory I've heard, since we can be evil, heartless beings who kill without a second thought...

um... so, yea, that's all I had to say... thanks for reading...

First of all let me thank you for making a well thought out post. Though I think the bible actually says that ONLY god knows when the end is coming. Not that not even he does. /shrug

At any rate that is 100% correct... not one person knows when the end will come. I don't post here professing that an end is coming but that something big is going to happen. Something that will change everything. In fact I believe we are looking at the beginning of a new age. All beginnings start with the end of something that came before... and endings aren't necessarily a bad thing.

I'm not certain of anything. Anyone who says they are is most certainly selling something. I'm just taking one day at a time keeping my eyes and my heart wide open. The signs are there but what they point to isn't clear. All we can do is wait and watch and pray and try to be ready when the time comes. That is the only message I hope to spread here.

You don't have to believe something is going to happen just be open to the possiblity that something might. I am working to prepare myself and family so that we are ready to except whatever comes or to take action if we must.

I'm actually not afraid of what's coming. What I'm afraid of are people. People are capable of the most horrifying acts when thrown into a situation they are not prepared for. Sure there are those who will rise to the occasion and shine as some people do in extreme cases but most will not.

Whatever happens, whenever it happens it will be a time of great change. It's probably going to hurt a little, change is rarely comfortable when it comes to humanity.

jeez its near the end of 2010 we're so close to 2012 and tension is building up in me. I wonder (i wonder many things) if something will actually happen or if everything will just go on as it is now, if it goes on like this, i would hate it cos the world nowadays is sh**. I have felt this ever since i came out of my mum and into this world. 18 years i've been wondering 'is it really all this bad? What can i do to live a better life? How can a human realy be so ignorant and self centered?' well im glad i use my brain and listen to my heart, or else i would be like those ignorant, selfish ones, fighting over oil and hiding the truth from everyone. That is what keeps me going, believing that im different, and that there is someone out there who knows me really well and will take care of me when the time comes. God, life can be so cruel...
